How to Resolve Outlook Error 'File Access is Denied' Easily?

Well, now when the probable cause of the above mentioned error message is known, it becomes easier to fix this error up. Just make a copy of the PST file from the CD-ROM and store in on the hard drive. Then go to the properties option and by right-clicking the selected PST file and un-check the read-only check box. Then to complete the step click on 'OK'. Now the PST file can easily be imported by using import and export wizard utility.

But in case the above error message occurs again while attempting to import PST file, then there must be a severe PST corruption or the PST file must be password protected. In such situation, it is advised to revoke the password first and then try to access the PST file again. However, if there is still a problem access the imported file, then it is advised to use inbuilt Scanpst.exe utility or third party Outlook PST Repair software.
